I spent my weekend volunteering at the Engine 2 sponsored 2Forks Weekender here in Cleveland at the Downtown Marriott hotel. The amount of information was absolutely staggering. There were times that I felt such a disconnect to the rest of society, that such critical, lifesaving information is not more widely known. There shear amount of data demonstrating the overwhelming benefits of a whole foods, plant based diet is almost overwhelming.

Walk to Remember at the Cleveland Zoo
Several weeks back, Arisa and I joined Team Hyland to participate in the "Walk To Remember", a fundraiser walk for the Hospice of the Western Reserve. The great thing about the walk was that it was through the Cleveland Zoo which I haven't been to since I got there on a yellow bus. Cherry Blossoms in Full Bloom
The cherry trees donated by the Japanese Association of Northeast Ohio (JANO) are in full bloom. This year is the 100th Anniversary of the gift of cherry trees to the United States from Japan for the mall in Washington D.C. This year the blooming is early. I tweeted last night that I wished one of the news organizations would broadcast something. Little did I know when I made that tweet that Newsnet5 already had!
Yesterday about 15 of us had an impromptu "hanami" which was a lot of fun. Check out the pictures below.
If you have a chance, you'll want to stop by today since I think the inbound rain and storms will knock all the blossoms off the trees.

ガーリックフェスティバル
ツィッターで知りましたが、来週末にシェーカースクウェアで行うクリーブランドの第一回ガーリックフェスティバル（ニンニク祭り？）があります。なんか、面白そうです。得にカーリックが好き僕にとってクックオフが楽しみなんですよ。
大まかなスケジュールは以下のとおりです
9月11日 13:00～22:00 9月12日 12:00～20:00
今週はまたロスへの出張ですが、これに行けると思います。土曜日にケンとジョージの試合があるかもしれませんけど、このガーリックフェスティバルに行きたいです。

JANO Sakura Picnic
JANO has released more information on this year's Annual Sakura Picnic. Once again it's a potluck picnic and the the Consul General from the Detroit Consulate will be in attendance.
If you are interested in Japan, or meeting with Japanese, or just looking to have some fun and eat some really good Japanese food, feel free to come along. It'll be held at the Brookside Reservation of the Cleveland Metroparks (see map below for location)

Chagrin Falls Blossom Time Festival
WKYC よりチャグリンフォールズのBlossom Time祭りが明日（木曜日）から月曜日まで行われます。 中学生ごろこの祭りに行ったことがある記憶があります
チャグリンフォールズは小さな町で昔の味があります。 もちろん、チャグリンフォールズの中にチャグリン川の滝があります。その横にレストランがあったり、上にショップなどがあります。 そして、町の真中に公園があって、その中に乗り物とかが設置されます。予定表は英語になりますが、時間ごとに何が開催されるとか全部リストアップしています： 予定表
小さな子供を持っている方々にはいいかもしれませんよ。 Ferris Wheelとかの乗り物があります。 本当にアメリカ小さな町の祭りをたっぷり体験出来ます
日曜日に4時からAlex Bevanの公演があるそうです。 僕は大学時代にBevanさんを大学に誘って小さなコンサートをしてもらいました。 僕が大好きな名曲：Skinny (Little Boy From Cleveland Ohio)なんですよ。 youtubeで発見！このビデオは大学でコンサートしてもらった４年後ですね。
彼を見に行くつもりです。 大学時代にバーでのライブをよく見にいきました。 もう年をとっているけど間違えなくいいコンサートになると思います。

Kimono Exhibit
Starting today at the Canton Musuem of Art there is an exhibit of Kimono's by Itchiku Kubota. The exhibit runs from today through April 26th. There are a series of Japanese cultural events surrounding this exhibit, such a Japanese films, origami, cooking classes, a tea ceremony, etc. For more details see:
